Riding over Stagnation

Tonight
The moon's light
with all its might
on the crests
of the waves
of the river, it rides
and tries
coming nearer
to my side
of the shore.

But all despite
its majesty and might
can't help its plight
that its sole ride
is but a river.
The river with
its apparent motion
its apparent flow
can't carry the moonlight ashore.

Stagnation has it gripped
As it grips me
My thoughts
My ideas
My actions
Yet I ride them
Surf them, and enjoy the thrill
With the thought in mind
That the only end in sight
Is to sink in this river this night
And what joy it shall be
When me and my stagnation shall be free
